Apple Unveils iCloud
Yesterday, Apple launched a Beta version of iCloud to developers. The company also revealed the service’s pricing plan—which grants users up to 5 GB of music storage for free, 15 GB for $20 per year, 25 GB for $40, and 55 GB for $100. Music purchased from iTunes will not count against users’ available storage. The site will allow users to log in with their Apple ID, although only developers have access at this time.
Jay-Z and Kanye West Debut Album, Reschedule Tour
A day after reports indicated that Jay-Z and Kanye West were having disputes regarding the production value of their tour—West reportedly wants to go all out, as opposed to Jay-Z who would rather keep things simple—it was announced that concert dates have been rescheduled, in some cases up to two months. Last night, the pair also debuted the full “Watch the Throne” for the first time in a planetarium at New York’s Museum of Natural History. The album, which will be released digitally August 8, recieved positive reviews.

Rumors Surrounding Amy Winehouse
Reports of questionable validity surrounding Winehouse have arisen following the singer’s death. Earlier this week, it was revealed that she had plans to adopt a 10-year-old girl from St. Lucia, although representatives of the late singer’s estate have claimed that this is not true. Today, reports surfaced claiming that Winehouse was engaged and also that she purchased drugs the night before she died.

Kings of Leon’s Lead Singer Going to Rehab
Following a Dallas concert that was cut short and subsequent cancellation of the U.S. leg of their tour, it was announced that Lead Singer Caleb Followill will enter rehab. The frontman apparently has been battling a drinking problem for a while, and the band has decided it is time to help him deal with his problem.
